Out of nowhere Aamer suggested yesterday that I should get an insurance policy. The point is, I should get it while I’m young and it won’t make a dent in my pocket anyway. I reckon it just didn’t pop out of nowhere; one of our friends had a terrible accident a few weeks ago and another had an operation. I’m not sure whether it is okay to get one but anyway, he has me thinking.

AB called in about two hours ago. Everybody at home were looking at the family pictures I took in Karachi. I could hear giggles in the background. I wish to be there but nevertheless I am happy!

Our new company Proloka Pakistan have been registered while I was in Karachi. I have some big plans for that. Al Rug is doing fine at the moment, but somehow I always had the urge to do something in my own field. It’s nice staying connected to so many around. I’m getting more and more complacent by every passing day. Let-it-be type of mentality is creeping into the core. Don’t know the reason. I deem it appropriate to take over once you’re old, but now? Na-na.

I hate when people are on Government’s tail. I’d done the same a few years ago in my more public writings; bashing and bashing and more bashing. I normally avoid it now.

Today I wept after a long time. Alone as always. Helps sometimes.

Aapi is not going to Muzaffarabad anymore. Okay, I admit that I was apprehensive but I don’t know for sure what changed her mind. Anyhow, sometimes decisions are supposed to be changed for good. By the way, I try to support loved ones in whatever decision they make.

While you’re thinking that I’m just being sloppy with life, I somehow hammered out a merger with a big company. Today, we merge. Tomorrow, we grow Inshallah. Think you have to deal with seth mentality for a business merger; it’s sickening! Took me and Aamer three days of exhaustive sessions to make a deal. Aamer was on the verge of bailing out but I stayed (and made him stay as well). And it proved to be fruitful. Big season ahead, tremendous amount of work. Yoohoooo, tomorrow I’ll moving to our new business place.

Ah, I still have to reply to Hasan’s tag. I’ll do it when Aamer is not watching!

Ah, I’ve been offered a merger from a big fish. This is not big-fish-small-fish proposition; they’re stuck and I’m growing, so it’s like fifty-fifty for both. Concerns? Fine. But I’m here to explore the opportunities, not to duck. Take the plunge, baby! I know you can do it.

My to-do lists are also growing. Keeping track record of everything in such times is a nightmare. You can’t get enough of time for all these things; why there are only 24 hrs in a day? I dare to ask for more.

Things have been pretty different. People are the same. I fear I would scramble an old friendship; what the heck. I need to concentrate on my work.

Just two days ago my father told that the whole family (in Isloo) will be giving all their money for eid clothes to earthquake victims. Takes a doing, man. Oh forgot, we’ve decided to give 10% profit of our company to relief funds as well.

I’m falling in love with so many things lately. Le Petit Prince is one of them. You should read the book whenever you find time. Heck, I need to concentrate on my work!!

Back to blogging business
Another noticeable thing about my blog now is it’s interface. With lush green [to some extent] background and my trademark glass balls. But that’s not what I’m excited about. The thing that’s more intiguing is the title of blog: Politically incorrect – eats, shoots & leaves. In fact, it’s based on a punctuation mistake in wildlife manual in which a panda is defined as a ‘large black-and-white bear-like mammal, native to China. Eats, shoots & leaves.’ While this might not be politically funny to many but Lynne Truss has written a complete book on the subject with her zero tolerance approach to puntuation. So, while my puntuation might be politically correct, in one sense or other, but my talk is not!

Well, it’s quit a time when I created this blog but never got time to look after. While I’m working on a blog system, I feel its high time that I should also pay attention to the real life blogging too. Let’s see how long this venture goes as I have a knack of getting fed up of things very quickly.
About my blog project: Frankly speaking, it’s not out of world type but one of my colleagues suggested me that if I want to learn PHP/MySQL, I should really think about doing a project. So, that’s how it all started. It’s getting ready while I’m one the look out for more features. I’m working on two versions of the blog; A conventional English one and second is Urdu. Yeah, you’ll be able to post directly in Urdu. I almost have done the basic functionality but writing directly in Urdu is only supported on IE 6. But I’m looking to port it to Mozilla/Firefox/Netscape too. Hope it will be completed soon and you’ll get a real chance to have a look at it (and use it!).
