Conversations and releases

without comments

There are ways to start a conversation. One is to take a stance and start a conversation from that point on. Another is being more flexible, acceptable way; of understanding other’s point of view as well. Rigidity kills a conversation like nothing else. And you never learn anything new. Most people in our society take a conversation as simple as over a cricket match like a battle. Overpowering an opposing view is not always winning and more importantly gaining.

On a side note, I feel sad at not being able to download 45th episode of Naruto Shippuden. Dattebayo is strange in that way, but we gave them that power which they can exploit at their will. I hope they come back soon. I’m going to miss Naruto Shippuden in the mean time.

vision

without comments

Sometimes you wander too much in dust that your glasses catch dirt. You may not realize it but your vision is impaired. Judgments made on such vision are always going to be faulty.

planning waghera

without comments

Few people have their planning meter broken. Literally. Otherwise, they won’t suggest starting a business in passive mode to gauge its potential in the first year; whether or not it is feasible to run it fully. I mean, come on, do some market research and then come up with a business plan.

Back to the base and old blogger..

without comments

It’s been fun (funny?) to try out a blog system of my own only for me to realise afterwards that I do not have time and energies to keep up the mounting tasks of managing such a pretentious adventure. I’ll however keep the domain for a while.

Yasir[clueless]announced

It’s a pity to gauge life in years, months and days. So exactly I’m 22 years, 11 months, 30 days, 16 hours and 59 minutes old as I write these lines, but that’s the least I’m interested in. I wasn’t sure that I would survive for so long, a week ago. Feels like I’ve lived for ages and life has ceased to exist. Anyway, life has changed drastically over last few months. There’s an indignified sense of loss stuck deep down somewhere.

kya khoya hai?
kya paya hai?

Public Notice: I’d been robbed of my mobile, so don’t try calling me to wish. My computer is also kharab, so don’t bother to drop me email because when I’ll read it, the day might have already passed. Thanks.

Tere ishq nachaya..

without comments

Yasir[serious]poked

Sometimes, somebody smiles at you and you feel like iss ki bateesi nikal doon! Happened to me today actually. Smile can be that cruel/sarcastic, I had never imagined before. At other times, it’s totally the opposite; you fall just by hearing someone over phone. Aamer is down these days – slightly recovered from the shock but nevertheless down – and the air is all gloomy around. Because of him, of course. We watched Rehna hai tere dil mein consecutively for two days. But the most exciting piece in the lastest happenings was the sufi night festival at Alhamra Open Air. I never thought my voice – in fact it was almost a shout – can actually break through thousands of people but how could I have left the place without requesting Abida Parveen sing my favorite tere ishq nachaya. It was fantabulous! Surreal! ‘Your love makes dance’ and I get lost!

I’m not song-type banda, but I would lament not sharing one of my all-time favorites:

Long Gone Day by Mad Season

So much blood I’m starting to drown
Runs from cold to colder
Time to time the sky’s come down
To help me lose my way
Tears and lies for answers
You and open veins, God knows I’m gone
Girl I just want you to
Come on down
Lord it’s a storm and I’m heading to fall
These sins are mine and I’ve done wrong, oh babe
Come on down
Long Gone Day
Mmmm, who ever said
We wash away with the rain
See you all from time to time
Isn’t it so strange
How far away we all are now
Am I the only one who remembers that summer
Oh, I remember
Everyday each time the place was saved
The music that we made
The wind has carried all of that away
Long gone day
Mmmm, who ever said
We wash away with the rain
So many tears I’m starting to drown
The rain in heaven’s all come down
Silver spoons affix the crown
The luckless ones are broken
Fears and lies for answers
You and open flames
God knows I’m gone
And I just want you to
Come on down, hmmm
Lord it’s a storm and I’m heading to fall
These sins are mine and I’ve done wrong
I want you to, oh, I just want you to
Come on down
I fear again, like then, I’ve lost my way
And shout to God to bring my sunny day

Shit!

Yasir[angry]declared

I had been eating a lot of chicken lately believing in Government’s claim that there’s no Bird Flu in Pakistan. Now they say, there is (in some distant areas), but no there’s not (we got rid of the infected chicken)! It’s already hard to believe Government, anyway. Bullshitters!

Colors

without comments

Yasir[clueless]probed

A couple of days ago we were talking colors and what’s in and what’s out. Orange is still king of the ring and that’s exactly what I had in mind when I designed Danka’s website. But Green is picking up; it’s not there yet but coming up gradually. Orange is pretty easy color, depicting any mood or feel in not at all a problem in Orange, be it warm, trendy or gothic. Green on the other side, is more subtle and requires in-depth knowledge of colors. Jakob was telling that he had hard time finding the right funky tone with Green when he was designing SOS’s pamphlet. Figures. While I’m on the topic, let’s not forget Ufone change of corporate identity in recent times, changing from corporate Navy Blue to Orange and Green. I don’t know if it’s just by chance, but they have all in this new young, hip, funky and trendy feel of their corporate identity now. I feel this will go a long way in the projection of their image. On the other hand, Mobilink a while back chose old-and-out Indigo, yuck!

I wasn’t ready to change the colors for my blog yet, but I guess as this is Valentine season (I’m not that kind, by the way) I must use Pink, else I won’t get a chance rest of the year. I’ll change it back to defaul Yellow as this is also Basant, but after a couple of weeks. So, now it’s Pink! If you can’t see the change, press Ctrl+F5.

I’d better be pushing refresh at http://www.randomerror.com/ than using Orkut; at least, it has some variety!
